• Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021: Three VCSU students living off campus tested positive for COVID-19 and are in isolation. Valley City State University is doing contact tracing and will notify close contacts who are VCSU students or employees.
Campus Impact: None; regular cleaning and sanitization cycles are sufficient under the circumstances.
• Monday, Jan. 11, 2021: Two VCSU students living off campus tested positive for COVID-19 and are in isolation. Valley City State University is doing contact tracing and will notify close contacts who are VCSU students or employees.
Campus Impact: None; regular cleaning and sanitization cycles are sufficient under the circumstances.
• Friday, Jan. 8, 2021: Four VCSU students living off campus and two employees tested positive for COVID-19 during the week of Jan. 4-8 and are in isolation. Valley City State University is doing contact tracing and will notify close contacts who are VCSU students or employees.
Campus Impact: None; regular cleaning and sanitization cycles are sufficient under the circumstances.
• Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020: Three VCSU students (one living on campus and two living off campus) and one employee tested positive for COVID-19 and are in isolation. Valley City State University is doing contact tracing and will notify close contacts who are VCSU students or employees.
Campus Impact: None; regular cleaning and sanitization cycles are sufficient under the circumstances.

Members of the VCSU community are advised to educate themselves about the coronavirus disease and steps to prevent illness.

Steps for helping prevent illness from the Centers for Disease Control website include:
- Wash your hands often
- Avoid close contact
- Cover your mouth and nose with a mask when around others
- Cover coughs and sneezes
- Clean and disinfect
- Monitor your health daily
Call your doctor or local clinic if you experience the following symptoms:
- Fever
- Cough
- Shortness of breath
